Default Having a bad day

So Jackie's allergies require a medication and he's actingout on me again. I don't want to take this crap anymore, I am fed up with his terrible behavior. He's poking me with his toys in my poor back making me hurt really bad, and then laughing at me...I wish my life was easier, I just feel like crying...Two different allergy meds and both have made him intolerable to live with. It's only a matter of time before he really hurts me.

Unhappy

This sounds very hard to tolerate and I don't know how you manage to jsut keep taking it.
You are a saint and it must be so hard during times like this.
Have you ever cried to let him see how sad his behavior makes you?
I wonder if that would register differently?
hugs to you dear lady

Thanks everyone, I am resolvig to let his allergies go untreated if this is what allergy medication is going to turn him into. I have cried before when he's hurt me, like today sadly he hit my spine in the center of my back with a rod part of his boat toy and man did that hurt, took my breath away. But the towel slapping, I sit here holding almost every darn towel in the place to keep him from it, then he moves to pillows and those can hurt slammed into your face or your wrist.

*sigh*

I know how uncomfortable allergies are and I understand this might mean he might have another nosebleed, but I cannot live like this with him. It's just unbearable. I just needed to vent though, thanks everyone for caring. You're all wonderful friends. I consider myself lucky he's not hurting himself, that I think would be worse you know? Self injurious behavior is common in autism and he's usually pretty good about that.

Pam

Have you tried a nose spray for his allergies. These sometimes help.

Not sure what his allergies are.

I'm not sure what his allergies are and nose sprays won't work because he won't let me use one on him. We had an appt today, but guess who got up at 3:30 and would not go back to bed no matter what I did? Supposed to not have anything to drink or eat and what does he do? Wants food and drink so I had to cancel his appt. His behavior has been so bad anyway it was the right thing to do. He's just been so awful, I would hate for him to get labelled as a biter because of medication reactions.

*sigh* it's been a rough two hours since I last posted, he's thrown shoes at me and even a stinking phone book which his my back hard. He's really in need of medcation tweaking, I am not going to let the day go by without his dr increasing his clonidine since that is all she's comfortable doing, then that is what better happen because this is BULL!!

It's better he be a little calmer and able to slow down his impulses since he can't seem to control them now, then end up in a group home which is exactly where he's going to end up, I don't care anymore, I will not be his victim any longer.
