Default Ummm...

I'm not sure what's going on...

Yesterday (and past several days)... couldn't have cared less if the sun came up... woke up today feeling pretty much the same way....

As the day has went on I have felt really really weird.... my energy has soared... feel like nothing in the world could bring me down... I could dance through a storm!!! I feel like I could do anything--No Fear---have even tempted fate a few times and feel like I wanna take more chances.....

Had many people tell me today that I looked really good.... not the way I was dressed or anything...same style they've always seen me in... but they kept telling me that I looked better than they have ever seen me....

Sorry for rambling.... just needed to get these words out...

I really don't know what's going on.... but it feels like someone has flipped a switch in me....

Might be the change of season kicking in for you Abbie, I am glad you seem to be feeling better, that's a good thing! I know when I feel like that I tend to worry it's mania or something that won't last. But I've been feeling pretty good myself for awhile now. Going to post my own thread though to talk about it, just wanted to encourage you with that, because it might be seasonal for you and who knows it might just last awhile and you might get a lot done over the coming days.

I haven't gotten in to see the Pdoc as of yet....
No therapy....

I am taking:
Antidepressants....
Cymbalta, Amitripyline

Antianxiety...
Klonopin

I also take Lyrica, Baclofen, Provigil, and Frova (for RSD related junk)

I'm tired now but if someone were to say hey let's go blah, blah, blah... I'd be out the door!!!

I normally drive very safely but today I felt like I was in the Indy 500 and trying to get to the checker flag first from last place. So not like me....

Make an appointment to see a pdoc!!!!!

the provigil is stimulating and the antidepressants could be pushing you over the edge.....
can you stay at home tomorrow, driving like that is very dangerous!
you have to really use your head right now.

Hi,
I agree with Bizi.
That is a strange med mix.
It could cause problems.

Forget therapy. Get ONE psychiatrist to look at those meds.

Do you have a psychiatrist appointment set up?

Who put you on two anti-depressants?
How recently was it?
Call that doc and ask to go off/cut back on one of them. -- while you wait for the psychiatrist. This is important.

No psychiatrist appt set yet.... Tried to get appt scheduled today but office closed for long holiday... try again on Tuesday.

I literally froze my credit cards a few weeks ago... filled container w/water put cards in and stuck container in freezer. Don't know why I did that.... something told me to get them out of immediate reach.

Doc (MD) is the one that put me on the amitryptiline... she said it would be ok with the Cymbalta that I have been on for 3yrs. I'll have to call her on Tuesday too... she wasn't in today.

Luckily I was able to hold it together when I picked up my nieces from school.... I managed to drive safe but was fighting to do so... I think I am on the downswing....I just want to sleep but my body is shaky and my mind won't slow. I have napped a little but wake in a panic...

Thank you all for caring!!!!

Abbie

Red face

I had heard of that technique for the creidt cards, very smart move.

Getting into see a pdoc will take time...you don't have the luxury of time,
IMO...I think I would stop the provigil and the amytriptilyne.
YOu know that you can go to the er if you get into trouble....
that is what they are there for.

I know this is hard waiting it out...things will get better....
we will be here for you this weekend.
((((HUGS))))

Dear Abasaki,

During this time while you wait for a pdoc, postpone any decision making.
This is the standard advice about early manic behavior:
be careful about driving, . . .well, just be careful.

Try to protect yourself from rash decisions or from doing anything "wild."

Ways to keep yourself out of manic episode include making sure that you are getting enough sleep, doing exercise like walking, eating a healthful diet -- not much new there but you get the idea.

I'm concerned about the doubled up anti-depressants.
I don't know the particulars of your situation of course and everyone is different AND we each go through different phases regardless of the drugs.
So I hope that you don't mind that I got initially excited about the Anti-Depressants that you are on.

When you get on a good mood stabilizer, the feelings of having a "switch flipped" will start to go away.

Now I see that you are feeling down again.
That stinks. You have my sympathies.

GPs know next to nothing about these meds of ours. They should be allowed one chance. If their first med recommendation does not seem to be doing the job, they should immediately help you get into a a psychiatrist's office -- but that's my feeling. Next time I'll tell you how I really feel about GPs

You are going to be ok.
Keep holding on.

Mari
