Smile Updates. Check in. Say hello.

Greetings.

Does anyone have any tricks to get me to stop eating hubby's Halloween candy? He doesn't know that you are not supposed to buy this stuff weeks ahead of time and certainly are not supposed to buy the GOOD stuff.

I also have an appoitment for with a sales person at CURVES. According to mdoc's scale I gained 15 pounds in a year. I think the scale was wrong. According to home scale I have gained more.
Time for drastice measures. (Bad pun.)

Anyone care who wins the world series?

Mari

Hi Mari,

I would not recommend going through a bad day in court to lose the desire to eat candy or anything else for that matter. I have to force myself to eat since my husband got the gold mine and I got the shaft. I have however come up with another solution to ease the pain of it.

I hope to get loads of stuff taken care of today when the businesses open.

Default Hello

Hi Mari-

The best thing of Halloween is the candy, and thats about it for me. We have so many kids, we have none left.

I did the gluten free diet for 5 months and lost 30 lbs, I gained back only 5. But I don't follow it now too hard right now. Berries, fish, veggies, chicken too and nuts

I think the Cardinals are going to win.

We don't get any kids here in the complex, maybe a few if I remember correctly from the past 2 years, not sure.

I can't do Halloween, with my 2 dogs, I can't keep opening the door, plus this year I am afraid to open my door. My husband loves Halloween, which scares me now.

They took my car yesterday (repo'd) depressing to say the least. It was voluntary, I had no choice. At least I still have a car, my mom's. I can thank my husband for my car being taken too.

Next Friday is court again. I can't take much more. I really can't. My DV counsler told me to trust my instincts, because once I was driving and I felt as though I was near him, come to find out, I was close to where he lives, I didn't know his address at that time.

I also am afraid to go over friends for Thanksgiving, I've had a feeling that he will come here that day, knowing me and my mom are out. Unless he ends up in jail. I will have to explain to my friends, even though they live right here in the complex.

I even sometimes have the feeling he is watching on this forum, he knows I used to go here. He would know it was me, yet he couldn't prove a thing.
So, screw you, if you are here, I hate you. (Talking to my jerk of a husband)

I am sorry to be such a downer, I won't anymore, not good for anyone here.

Scream away, Nikko. You deserve to be able to tell him off (safely, away from him and no where near his dumbness.)

Mari....I can't buy candy until the last minute. It will be gone.

Have you tried hiding it? If he's like me, he'd find it anyway. LOL

I am here. Kinda on edge and on the verge of rage-y. Mostly numb though. Had to shut down how I am feeling because there is so much pain from grief around here. Pretty sure that's why the rage is hiding underneath. (I've always had a nasty temper.)

Did I tell you all how much I love you? Probably did. But it's worth saying over.

I love you all.

My motto:

If you dont like the size of my ****, don't look at it! Eat the candy! Enjoy the candy! And remind your hubby that he gets to sleep with whatever the candy creates!

YAY! Thanks for the link Mari. I didn't realise so many were here after BT came back. Things are good in my neck of the woods. I have my boys in a charter school - younger one is doing great, older one is doing better. I am pretty sure we will be home schooling before junior high, which is fine. But his self esteem is alot better at this school. He's made some good friends.

My husband got a promotion and we bought a "real" house this summer! (we were in an older manufactured home we bought after he was transfered back) Nothing that will ever air on an episode of Cribs, but its a nice 4 bdrm. with a really nice sized yard for the boys.

Im working for Health and Welfare in the Mental Health division. My job is organizing and maintaining several support groups, training courses for the public, parents, and school staff, and sitting on the children's mental health counsel for our region. The majority is done from home - only about 5 hrs a week actually in the office - which is REALLY nice as well. I'm enjoying it.

My son seems to be handling the season change 80% better than he ever has. We have him using a sunlamp and it is really helping him. He also have him going in for a weekly massage, and a nutritional specialist is helping with supplements and diet. All of this combined with his medical treatment has really REALLY made a difference. (still manic-like with being inside now, but nothing like it has been every winter prior to this) We're happy.

How is everyone??

Smile Welcome Bobi

Dear Bobi,

Thanks for the news of your sons.

That's great that the sunlamp is working.
And good news about the supplements, massage, and diet too.
This reminds me to try harder and to organize the things I know work for me too. It can pay off.

You moved your household a whole bunch in a short period of time. You could be a professional. At the time, I thought that my one move after 13 years in the same place might do me in. I think I have been here in the new place a month now. A few boxes left to unpack.

The Mental Health people hired the right person. Keep up the good work.
Mari
