Yes. I noticed a difference at work, and my co-workers noticed it about 10 years ago. It also seemed to have a anti-depressant affect also. It didn't make me gain weight either.

As soon as those OCD thoughts came into my head in a storm of thoughts,I'd take another Luvox. I'm not cluttered with thoughts,as a explosion of thoughts would happen, and I'd be toppling with these magnified thoughts. They where usually frightening thoughts. They locked my thoughts up,then my thoughts where distorted, and fixed on things. Then when one of those thoughts would leave, another one would happen. The Luvox brakes up the strength of those thoughts.

Right now I'm going through a bad period in my life. Depression,OCD,Fear, anxiety, and all kinds of negative thoughts that I cannot get my mind off are happening. Actually I've been worse for about 4 years now. More worse in the last 2 years. More Worse in the last six months. Then my sister got me more upset last Monday afternoon,a week ago. Now I'm loosing my interests. I don't feel like going anywhere.

Usually many things are interesting to me. Now nothing is interesting to me. I have this pain in my chest, and I cannot get help for it. This Region Ten(Mental Health Services)in this state still hasn't provided a counselor for me. I have a Nurse Practicioner who prescribes the medicines for me. No ones calling me except for telemarketors. I'm staying inside for days at a time. I don't feel like getting up. The list goes on. I don't know why I'm in this predicament. I don't deserve this. BF

Sorry for being so negative. I feel better now. I'm going to take my meds, and go to bed. Thank you for your support. I know what I have is complicated, and maybe unknown. Thanks. Feel free to give me ideas. Thats also why I'm here. I'm looking for answers, and haven't gotten them from the doctors. The medicines have helped though. I've been through so many emotional issues,I try to help people when I can. BF

Red face

I am glad that you are feeling better friend.
I still think that your meds are off, that an increase in your seroquel might help you.

Dear Friend,
Pdocs really can medicate anxiety.
They can be much more aggressive than they are in your case so far.
You deserve better attention to your issue.

My work friend became debilitated with anxiety. I watched him get worse and worse. He needed better pdocs. But after a while he was too depressed and anxious to try harder to get better help.

I suffered mostly from anxiety before I was treated -- but it was not nearly as severe as what you have. The pdoc went down a lot of wrong roads at first. I got sicker before I got better -- he was a really really good brilliant pdoc. After a few years, we found something that worked with side effects that were mostly manageable.

That was years ago. The meds are better now and pdocs know more.

I want you to feel better.
Mari

Keep pushing. You deserve proper medical care.

Default Thank you Mari

I'm trying to get help, but they are prolonging every effort I make at Region 10(Mental Health services)in my state. I'm hurting. This anxiety is hurting in my chest. It really hurts. I'm not making it up. It's the absolute truth.

Sometimes when I try to research it,it hurts so bad that I can't stand it,and I have to stop the research. BF

Default I believe you

Dear Friend,
You don't have to research -- especially if it makes the anxiety worse.

I believe you that you feel the anxiety physically.

I don't know how to make things better for you except to go to your clinic and start knocking some heads together.
Instead I will have to pray for them that they get some guidance along with some sense of caring and responsibility for the people like you in their care.

Sometimes it helps to go into emergency in-patient for evaluation. They docs might not admit you, but they might help you on the way to better meds. If they do admit you, you put up with the inconvenience for few days in order for them to see that you need major intervention compared to what you are getting now.

I don't know what's going on in this state. It's like waiting for Social Security Disability. They don't seem to want to help you at first. I think that they just want us to go away. BF
