Hi.Just thought this might be helpful to anyone suffering from CRPS/RSD or Phantom limb pain. This is an emerging new evidence based treatment for CRPS/RSD and phantom limb pain.It is used in Australia and the UK and is well documented in medical journals that it induces positive effects. It is a form of brain training that includes mirror therapy to remap neural pathways and reduce pain.**

It's a strange little activity but many people, including myself, prefer more concrete modes of managing rsd.
If one were going for the mental aspects of pain management, biofeedback would be a good start, but putting an affected body part in front of a mirror and preteding it works just as well as an unaffected area could be frustrating, thus, leading to more problems. And I totally understand the reasoning behind the idea of mirror box therapy. There are very little methods of therapies for rsd, and ppl in enough pain are willing to try many things. But in my opinion; acupuncture, mirror.., biofeedback ect. Are very controversial when it comes to pain that comes with this aweful affliction. But of course, to each his own.
