Default Recommended reading
Another book getting a huge first printing (250,000) is How Doctors Think.

I haven't read it yet, but supposedly it gives patients advice on how to engage in better dialogue with doctors.

Be nice if the HMOs gave us more time to talk with the doctors, huh?
