Oh, I'm glad I read this message.

Haven't even had a coffee yet this morning and I thought I'd woken up and my computer had been taken over by spybots.

Hi, Lara. Go to Chat Now...and we can talk and you can practice and see how it works.

Chat now is for friends one on one, and private.

and so I was just alerting members that if they go to that site to read up more about our new chat system, they should also be aware that cometchat.com has its own chatrooms and Chat Now box that look just like ours. Members might get confused. (some already have been ) so I was pointing this out to avoid confusion...............

On the first day, Rosie....we were all chatting and a site was shared that provides this software. It has its own chat for people installing it on their forums to ask questions and one person, mixed them up with us. So some people looked at that site and there was a mix up... That is all. When a person has several windows open and some things look identical...that can happen, you know...

Are you confused by the chat itself? If so ask questions and we will try and answer.

I have no idea what cometchat is all about. I never realized there were 2 different sites for Neurotalk forums...totally confused. I did have a problem not being able to open links in messages this morning, but somehow clicked the right thingy to be able to do so now!

CometChat is a company that provides software to owners of forums to install on their home forums for their members.

Some of us wanted to see more details about how it works etc..so the link was provided here.

It is NOT another NeuroTalk. They use their own software however and that is how the mixup occurred.

DocJohn got us the CometChat software because our old chat didn't work anymore. So now we have the option to chat in real time. The Chat Now feature is for friends one on one to talk like an instant messenger. The Chatrooms on the left of the bar are like the old chats where several people can talk to each other.

You don't have to use it...you can click the down arrow at the far right and the bar can then be hidden.

Hi Everyone,

I don't see a chat bar? Is it going to be different because I use an ipad? Laptop screens bother my eyes.
