When hubby was in the service, he was a weather forecaster. In briefing the pilots, he said he shall never forget one who came in the building only to say "I thin I'm in process of loosing a FLIPPIN' engine" !! Needless to say, he was not originally from the US! LOL
My son also informed me that Ohio's one of the very few states of the USA that calls soft drinks "POP". I'm trying to break the habit and call them soft drinks or soda (even though those of us that are official old farts recall that sodas originally were served at the soda fountains of our local drug stores!!).

you should've seen my reaction a long time ago when I was young and wasn't worldly and didn't even knew what a bidet was reacted when a British co-worker told me that she was going to the back to smoke a fag. I almost fainted cause our gay co-worker that everyone really loved said, "I'll go with you."
