I voted "don't have the energy or ability to keep up". Cause I don't!! Heck, I can't even keep up when two people are talking at the same time. Chat rooms are like instant anxiety for me!!

If no one goes then no one else will go. Don't be afraid, no one else will/can 'get you' any more than they can in the forums. It's not hard to keep up. If one person asks something, you just reply, no matter what someone else says. You might notice what that second person says & say something if you want to, for instance if herekitty, me & Vonn were there & Vonn answered something I said, she might notice that herekitty said something too & also write a fun joke to her about that, while or after she answers me. If you have time to read & write on the forum then why don't you have time to go to chat, if just for a little bit? You don't have to stay a fixed amount of time. The more the merrier!

I love being on the boards and even instant messenger chat with friends and family.

But I just dont like chatroom format.
The cross convos that usually happen are what I find hardest as I lose track of who has said what LOL and end up making replies that are often outa sync as I type slower. I see my kids whiz over the keyboard LOL I am like a snail.

anyways, I prefer the forums and some IM to chatrooms, so that's why I dont go to them much

it would be nice to get the chatrooms more active tho as I know many people really enjoy being there and sometimes can be such a blessing for someone who needs to talk with friends in a less public way.

thoughts on a change to the chatroom names ?...
the Lounge is great, but does anyone actually ever go into Hollywood just to chat movies

I am curious too (erp no I am not! only one moneky here) but is the MS chat room ever used or does most chat take place on social and at the Inn?

I use Chat occasionally. I do like the format here as is it much better than another forum chatroom that I used to frequent.

It is easier to use, access, and much more user friendly! So for those of you who are familiar with the chat to which I am referring, please try this one out....it is a complete 180 from that one!

Lately, I just haven't had the time...for which I apologize...I know someone will smack me for that!

I go there once in awhile. Usually if I see that someone is alone in there...can't stand for anyone being lonely. *grin

I'm a once-in-awhiler. I find it frustrating when everything stops and starts with each new arrival. Typing is kind of hard for me now and my fingahs wear out if I use them too frequently. Not only that, but I'm likely to get distracted, "Oh, look! A raisin!" and I can't figure out where I left off.

once in awhile. not very often actually.

i used to love to go to the chatroom. life is too hectic. i feel bad when i have to leave or i can't reply fast enough because of home distractions.

i do know that if no one is there and you log on, usually someome will come in.

we used to have a thread on social chat that the chatters subscribed to. we just posted when went in and then more followed pretty fast.

I had to chat for my capstone class last November, it was required for part of the class and we spent a lot of hours doing so. It was exhausting for me but I did it anyway. I really can't see myself doing it for enjoyment.
