Okay, we have liftoff!!!!!! lol

I went to Start, all programs, to Microsoft Office, then I found the Microsoft Outlook thing. I clicked on tools, options, and mail format. I unchecked the "Use microsoft word as the email editor"

I then went back to the place where I was having the pop up word thing everytime I clicked on someone's email.

Well, it no longer pops up with:

"Starting Microsoft Office Word 2003 as your email editor"

When I click on an email what pops up is a screen that has To: and underneath it has the cc: and then the place where you can write an email.

It also does not offer any SEND option. so what I think is happening is that when I click on any email on the internet this thing will the pop up. I will then write my message, and then copy it into my clipboard, and THEN I have to to to my Verizon Webmail, (and by then, I will have had to write down the email address because I can't copy it because I just copied the message).

Too confusing. All I wanted was that when I click on ANY email at any website, it would bring up Verizon. I guess for some reason I can't do that.

So from now on, when I want to contact someone (on a website), instead of clicking on their email address, I'll just highlight it, copy it to my clipboard, go to my Verizon and then send an email using Verizon.

I really don't know what else to do.

I was under the impression that because Verizon is my default email thing, that any time I am at ANY website, and they have the option

contact us: at . so and so @msn.com

that I could just click on that and write an email.

I gather this is not going to be the case.

Here's my question.

What happens when any of you are at a website and you click on their email address. What does it do?

Thanks much

Melody
