I don't know if its true for a lot of other pgms, but I'm royally
PO'd about one in particular. It won't work with Vista. OK for OS's up to XP, ..... but not Vista. Gotta buy the new and improved upgrade (only $150.00, if you please) and then go to the website of the pgm & Dl an additonal upgrade and a service pack. Then it'll work with Vista. (supposedly, but I've heard there are 'bugs' in it and it may, or may not) My son's a quad. He bought a new laptop and it came with (what else?) Vista. All the new hardware comes with Vista! So he wants to be able to use the laptop with voice commands because his hands won't work too well. So he asks me to buy Dragon Naturally Speaking 8 (because the newest - 9.0 - is too pricey for his limited disability budget and he figures that the older version is all he'll need, anyway). So he buys DNS 8 and a mike for the laptop. The only version that'll work with Vista, is DNS 9.5. DNS 9 is the highest that can be bought. Ya gotta go to the website & DL SP1 & upgrade to 9.5! Whazzup? Is it Vista that's not compatible with anything that exists that's not Msoft? Or is it the pgm company that's causing the rip-off? BTW- someone told me that Vista comes with a voice recogniton pgm. Anybody got any info on that?
