I just bought a Dell and I really like it...this is the 2nd one I've had. I've also had two compaq's without any problems. The Dell I have now came with XP but I upgraded to Vista, if I don't like it I can go back to XP.
Hope you have good luck, I know how confusing it can get finding one you like.
