Default Winter in the Roost

Where is life,
Oh life, Pearl Sun?
Whither hath
Your silver streams run?
Under leaf, and under bough;
Under far skies that are
Sunny now?
Where is the summer skua
Or spring foal and deer?
When will your amber light
Again bring them near?
Be hushed,
Whisper not a word.
Gentle one, lay hushed.
All that was, for now is lost
And Now's the time of witch and frost-
When all the barren lay seduced;
For now, slow Winter is in the roost.
