Angry Updates on my root canal

I had two root canals done last year (2014).

One was in January, and I should have known better. The symptoms of pain I was having were around the gum of the tooth, not the tooth itself. Last molar on the top left of my mouth (not the wisdom teeth - I've had those pulled out long ago).

My dentist (young, probably my age) didn't even investigate the source of my gum pain....he basically looked at my tooth, saw it had a deep filled cavity, and send me for a root canal.

I had another root canal on the bottom last tooth on my right side; that one had always been sensitive to heat and cold, and just when my dentist was on vacation last March, it basically blew up - I've never really experienced that much pain in my life. I'm actually glad I got that one root canalled. I haven't really noticed any adverse symptoms following that one.

The first root canal I got, on the top tooth though? Well...

I'd just like to say that I'm a very healthy individual; I don't drink, I've been vegetarian most of my life, I don't drink pop, anything. I've had braces as a child and I think that's where most of my dental issues stem.

I've noticed, ever since that root canal was done, my left nostril is consistently blocked, as though I have a cold. As I write this (a year and 5 months later), I feel like I need to take heaving breaths, like I'm out of breath, and while my right nostril is completely free, my left nostril is blocked. I have two sores on the left side of my mouth; I also have a painful pimple at the edge of my left nostril; I have a numb pain around the gum of that tooth (the initial reason why I went to see the dentist when he prescribed me a root canal)

There's not a day I don't wake up where my left nostril is not blocked. It's not 100% - there are days, or at least, hours in a day, when it is clear and I feel I can breathe normally. But more often than not, it is blocked.

I really don' tknow what to do... I feel like the initial reason I went to get a root canal done hasn't even been solved, and now I have an additional problem to contend with - I never had any sinus issues and I don't even get colds! I'm ridiculously healthy, apart from this .... should I pull it??

I think I'll try to find a biological dentist in the area... I hope they're not more expensive...It becomes really hard to think when one side of your nose is literally blocked...like why do I only have a cold on one side of my face?!

Arghh.
