Hi BecE,
You might want to ask your neuro if the sz. are coming from the left side of your brain because that's the area where a persons speech is. Before I had brain surgery done they did a wada test on me and frozen each side of my brain when they froze the right side I was okay and able to speak but when they froze the left side I would try to talk but the words wouldn't come out it was almost like someone whose had a stroke and it effects there speech. As far as the memory my short term memory has gotten worse over the yrs. and I found out that it was from the AED's I've taken all these yrs. but the biggest thing was the shrinking of my right hippocampus from all the sz. I've had and my neurosurgeon had to remove the hippocampus and the right temporal lobe of my brain. Try doing some math, crossword puzzles and wordsearch puzzles I was told that by doing these things it will help improve the memory. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You! Sue |

My first surgery - Feb, 2006, removed a tiny bit of my left hippocampus, but the last surgery, May, 2007, removed all of the left hippocampus so I frequently have a LOT of trouble speaking.
And it's not unusual for me to say something like, "Please, put the bottle of magazine back in the shoes." ![]() |
