I haven't had any seizure's since New Years and then yesterday I had one sp while at work and then again today another while shopping at the mall. Prior to new years I hadn't had any in a long time and then had three out of the blue. I'm not sure what's going on. I wonder why they strike all of a sudden with no warning. I'm not overly stressed or fatigued. Does this happen to anyone else- long periods of inactivity then all of a sudden seizures out of the blue?

I am so sorry to hear you had seizures. Since the first I feel as though I am going to make it and then one slips in. Just keep take a deep breath and try again. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Stef,
I had a bunch of sz. a couple of weeks ago and then on Sunday I had a myoclonic sz. and I haven't had one of those since January. I ask myself if the reason why I've had so many sz. is because of the change in the climate since winter is just about over and the temp. is getting warmer. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You! Sue |

Thanks for the replies. The weather might have something to do with it, although it was warmer a few weeks ago and then got cold again. I have been a little stressed I realized (we're trying to refinance our house and it's taking a little longer than I had anticipated and the mortgage company keeps asking for more documentation etc). I wonder if that may have anything to do with it? There have been little stressors at work but nothing major so I'm just confused as to why out of the blue. New Years was pretty out of the blue too. We were visiting my husband's family and out for a drive to see what had changed in the old town we had moved from and wham! Out from nowhere.

I do not have seizures often, so yes, I can go a long time between and mine are almost always simple partials. Stress, flashing lights, sickness, and antibiotics or missed meds are huge triggers for me.
I am so sorry that you had seizures! I hope you can go back to another long time between them again! Hang in there! The good news is that it seems your medication seems to be working pretty well! G |

Had one more the day after I posted. I recently added Green tea capsules to my vitamin regimen and I'm wondering if maybe this has anything to do with it? I realize that green tea itself has quite a bit of caffeine but I don't know if the supplements themselves do or not.. I drink coffee in the morning and then usually an energy drink in the afternoon and I wonder if there is caffeine in the green tea then maybe it is just too much for me. I've only been taking it for about a week now and that's when this all started. Curious.. I'll take it for a few more days and see what happens.
