Hi Im back, ive had an mri, mra cat scan nothing, so frustrated. then yesterday I had one of my worst yet. Im really afraid im going to get hurt. below is description. Going to primary hopefully end of this week to see what it could be now. also have a fever and sinus infection, maybe that is part of it? I pasted below on the RSD site, another girl there has had several similar awful experiences even to the point of being hospitalized and it has been diagnosised as part of her rsd?? I cant find anything like this in my extensive research on my RSD. thank you again to those of you following this with me. Sincerely, cz
"I had another bad one yesterday, my husband found me on the kitchen floor unconscious, so either i am having seizures or something is suddenly dreadfully wrong with myy meds. Im frightned, frustrated and trying to hang in there, I remember being like a ping pong ball banging around the kitchen trying to hang on to consciousness and then blacking out at the stove and falling. I remember the begining. See why it is hard for me to belivie im not having seizures of some kind. actually it was more like a ball in a pin ball machine, I could have been seriously hurt instead of just some bad bruises and a couple of bumbs on my head. We cant seem to find out what is happening" |

Hi CZ,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having a bad time. Each time I get sick with a cold or sinus infection I have many seizures my neuro told me it was do to the change in my body chemistry and also any over the counter meds I took. I found taking Aleve for cold and sinus the best thing for me. I'm no Dr. but it sounds like you might be having tonic clonic or possibly clonic seizures. I just recently started having clonic seizures where I will blank out long enough to hit the floor then I'm conscious and having convulsions where I'm jerking my arms and legs around, and I'm unable to speak. I just saw my neuro and he put me on keppra so far I haven't had a single seizure but what will really prove if the drug works is when my hormones change. My advice to you is to go see an Epileptologist at an Epilepsy Center you can usually find them at University Hospitals. I've seen many neuros over the yrs. but I've found seeing a Dr. who speacializes in epilepsy much better and I take fewer drugs. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You! Sue |
