Default Doc John, in no way was this ...

meant to affront you or anyone involved with BT2 OR BT.

The fact that folks are complaining can be turned into a constructive direction by getting the main kvetchers to put up or shut up. Many of us have brains tho no brawn and have time and abilities that are untapped, factors that could be of use in the long term to establish BT as the truly recognized facility it deserves to be.

Things like getting the recognition from docs that it should get. From the medical & research communities that it should have. Not to mention us users.

There are lots of folks here who either know people or know where to find people who can contribute financially, technically in stabilizing and assuring the continuance of this resource in a manner that doesn't take away from other pressing medical research or treatments.

I certainly am not the only one to say to you...you have my heartfelt thanks - j

Default Here's an example

dahlek;

Hello and glad to see your name again. I just wanted to mention that what was happening on Braintalk was amazing to people. Abount six months ago, I told my therapist how much BT meant to me and helped me when I was frustrated at my pain or tired of being tired. When I told him the number of people who utilized the site, I don't think he believed me. That night, he logged on and signed up. And then he began suggesting the site to his patients, and we were all bummed out when it went "poof".

The drug manufacturers would have been smart to read about their products on BT, the doctors would find out for sure how chronic pain patients feel or all patients for that matter. It was full of information for everyone.

Anyway, just wanted to pass along my little story and "no", I'm not ready to volunteer for anything at this point.

Have fun!
