I have been having troubles for year now with vomiting and weight loss. Finally, MD did endoscopy. I saw her today and she said I had the EE as shown on biopsy.
I have RX for Prednisone. Anyone hear of this disease? I also suffer from PN. |

what were the results from celiac testing? If it hasn't been done, it needs to be, before you start the prednisone.

What I read the only way to diagnose EE is through biopsy. |

--got all the way done and into the duodenum and upper part of the small intestine, villous sampling could have been done to check for the changes of celiac, though sometimes the intestinal damage is patchy and may be beyond the duodenum (there are false negatives that occur this way).
Have you had any of the blood celiac panels that look for anti-tranglutaminase igA, anti-glidain IgA and IgG, and anti-endomeysial antibodies? |

This condition is associated with food allergies.
So finding the culprit is important to recovery. Avoidance of whatever is causing this is also very important. Gluten is a prime culprit. But others like citrus, could be a problem too. Something you had for breakfast regularly may be the actual cause. Orange juice? Some kind of carb with a gluten base? Coffee? All of these can cause food allergy or intolerances.
