Keep in mind there is no guarantee that fixing this will completely fix your problem. There may be other reasons for your issues too.
But in any event, you do need to bring up that B12 level to maintain your health. I wish you the best and do come back and give us here a progress report if you can.

Hey,
The highest dose i could find was the one from Konig Labiratorium Canada which has 1000 mcg/pill. They say i should take just one /day. Since you suggested 5 mg, should i take 5???? I don't know why here, in Romania, the the doses are so low. I found pills with only 100 mcg and injections with just 50 mcg/not mg. Pls could you suggest a brand of supplement to order online?? 10x |

You can use the 1mg (1000mcg) tablets. Start with 2 a day on an empty stomach. It will just take a bit longer to get up to the
levels you need. Not all of that is absorbed...only about 13mcg makes it out of 1000mcg dose into the blood stream. Things in Europe are different from US. They have that Codex thing...which limits what you can purchase.

Hello all,
I've been taking 2000 mcg a day of b12, for 2 weeks now, and i don't have the dizziness sensation anymore. My problems seem to have been solved, but i'm affraid to be happy about it becous it seems unreal. I though have a small problem, i experience some chest pains and my heart seems to beat a little faster. Could it be a b12 overdose? What do you think? |

No I don't think so.
You don't really absorb that much from the doses you are taking. B12 does improve energy in some people...but we see that mostly from the day of the injections. You might discuss the heart effects with your doctor to see if there is anything there. You can reduce to 1000 mcg a day and see if that changes anything. Once people get up to proper levels, the really high dose is no longer needed. But whatever caused you to get low in the first place is probably still there. You will need some supplement for life perhaps, and if you do it on a regular basis, you won't get low again. But that is good news that you are feeling better generally. Congratulations on that improvement!

2 weeks is not very long... there is probably some healing still going on elsewhere in the body.
You could do 1000 mcg one day, and 2000 the next and alternate. Often there are adjustment periods when fixing low B12... For people with neuropathy, it can take a year or more.

I have three months now since i have 1000 mcg B12 shots , once a month and i started to feel the improvements in my balance. The bad part is that every 10 days after my shot i start to feel my muscles weak and in pains. i called my doc and he advised me to take a potasium and sodium test and again my b12. I did so and my potasium and sodium levels were normal, but my b12 was 976. Is that too high? The doc said i should stop the shots but i don't want to do so because i just started to feel better What do you know about this kind of level. Is it dangerous? I've read that it is the optimum level for nerve recovery... Thank you! |
