Just looking at the way you spelled "Yogurt". Everytime I make a post with that word, I misspell it. I usually type "Yougurt". Just think of how many ways to misspell that word.
Not meant as evil in any way, I do it too, ALL the damn time. |

Well, again I return with better news. The Thrush has finally gone away. I did eat a lot of yogurt as you all suggested and my "D" problem also has gone away. I am having nice heathy B.M. everyday and sometime many times a day since I am eating a lot of veggies and fruit and cut out so much meat. AND stepped up on the water intake.
But the damage to my throat is still there but much less than it was 6 months ago. I still feel something funny going on in there once in a while but nothing compared to what it was. I think all the coughing while I had Legionaires Disease, I damaged the tissues in there and MAY have a little scarring. The coughing during that was so violent and prolonged that I was actually bleeding from my throat. But that is finally gone now too. Legionaires can Kill you and many times I thought I wasn't going to make it but I did. And the doctors were no help at all. I was able to get ONE inhaler during that whole 5 months of sickness and they wouldn't give me a refil and I NEEDED it so much, I can't tell you. So I am still using the Primatene Mist since I can't get a Ventolin. It's better than nothing and it does help. All in all I'd say I am 80% healthier NOW than when I first came to this site. |

How did you find out you had the yeast infection in your throat? Did a doctor decide that from your symptoms or did you get the throat scoped? I am so glad you are feeling much better and hopefully the rest will heal up.
I am asking because I had a lot of trouble swallowing etc. and the GI did an endoscopy. He took biopsies. He thought I had the yeast infection like you are describing but the pathology report showed I had esonphilic esophagitis which is entirely different. That was diagnosed two years ago and I am going back for a follow up endo the end of the month. Ironically, one of the things they give you is an inhaler that can give you thrush. I can't use it because it gives me sore throats, a side effect. |
