Hey guys I got a CT Scan done of my brain and was told everything was fine apart from inflammation on the right posterior ethmoidal air cell. I was priescribed anti-biodics for 2 weeks I then finished them and I am feeling dizzy, a little conjested in the nasal area and light headed with brain tingling AND ONE OF THE BIGGEST THINGS I AM FEELING is this weird throbbing sound in my right air and feel like I have to keep un blocking my right ear so please let me know what you think as my question to you is what are the symptoms so that I know if I should go back to the doctor and get more anti-biodics for the sinusitis (as I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and these feelings could just be the anxiety and the anti-biodics could have fixed the sinusitis problems, but then again I dont know if it is the anxiety as since taking the anti-depresent I am taking for anxiety have totally taken away my scary anxiety feelings I was having before and surely would have taken away those feelings I said firstly at the top) and I also just want to know is it possible that my "anxiety" symptoms were actually symptoms from having the right ethmoidal sinusitis? my symptoms of "anxiety" were fast heart beat, light headedness, dizziness, heavy feeling of limbs, sweating hands and feet, pressure on head, head tingling(which I still have now) SO PLEASE GUYS LET ME KNOW I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP

any chance of an ear infection? or maybe a sinus, personally i would give the doc a call, antibiotics, are good but one may not help with another problem could just be bad timing of having an ear infection or sinus troubles, as for the aniexty, you already said you know you need to go back and get in touch with doc, so i would think half the battle is already won on your behalf, give the doc a call and you will be 3/4 of the way done with it, Hello my name is Frank I am from the MS forums I saw your post and am hoping this helps a little

I have been struggling with very similar symptoms since January of this year. I have been tested for everything under the sun. The only thing I don't have the same is a fast heartbeat. I would keep going back to the Ear Nose & Throat doctor until they figure out if your infection is gone or not. I took 3 rounds of antibiotics (including one with steroids) before they finally decided my maxillary and ethmoidal sinuses just weren't going to clear themselves out. I had sinus surgery about a month ago and feel about 90% than I did. I still have ear throbbing, headaches, what I call base-line dizziness (it's kind of there in the background all the time but doesn't throw me off balance unless something esle interferes like the elevator stopping too fast or something), ear itchiness, ear fullness etc. My ENT said he thinks I have Occipital Neuralgia. I highly suggest following up with an ENT because it could be a bunch of things like Meniere's, ON, chronic sinusitis etc. You may have anxiety as well- it's hard to tell online- but it may not be anxiety at all. Most of us have been sloughed off on the anxiety/depression diagnosis at some point when doctors are either out of ideas or tired of looking for the real cause. Of course some of us DO have anxiety and/or depression too - some caused by our illness and some coincidental. If you want to chat more about it, PM me.

Do you own a Netty Pot? If you do then use it. If you don't go get one. It cleanses the inside of your nose and I think it gets some of your sinuses too. Since I have been using that at the first sign of anykind of nasal problem it just vanishes. And I use to get what you are describing ALL the time. Drink a lot of water, at least an extra quart a day and I take Benedryl at night and Sudafed during the day if I feel my ears acting up. I find to a regular nasal spray like Dristan works. Spray then hold your nose and blow easy, and I mean Slow and EASY, like you are blowing it. Go slow and easy and you will feel the eustacian tubes opening up. I went to an ENT guy once and he showed me this little trick. It allows the excess fluid to drain out of your ears. It usually works for me but sometimes it's stubborn and I have to try again in a while but usually I am successful. When I get what you described I also get dizzy. I HATE being dizzy.
Good Luck. |
