Default Vitamin C and Toothache

Hi, Has anyone else had experience
with toothache and Vitamin C?

I got a horrible toothache the other day.
There was a lot of stress and my tooth began to hurt until it was just completely awful.

I don't take Ibuprofen any more, since the Periodontist pointed out that it can weaken bone around implants. I have some old dental implants.

So I took a Serrapeptase, which actually worked better than I expected, though it by no means totally got rid of the pain.

By the time the pain had gotten so bad I was holding my head in my hands and moaning, it was too late to take very much vitamin C, due to its tendency to increase bathroom visits, and I wanted to sleep. I longed to sleep.

Next day I was determined to take 60 of the 500mg vitamin C. (I'm very tall and very heavy, so this amount might not be good for someone else who is not the same as me.)

I took 15 of the 500mg vitamin C with a few crackers and my breakfast coffee complete with amino acid powder.

I gritted my teeth as there was little improvement as the hours passed.

Mid morning I took another 15 of the 500mg vitamin C with coffee and amino acids, but this time I also took my supplements, which include CoQ10 which someone suggested to me and which I read about and it is indeed suggested for teeth problems.

In a couple of hours it seemed like there was a little less pain.
(Or else I was just so wishing that were true.)

Mid afternoon I had 8 more of the 500 mg vitamin C with coffee and supplements as above.

Then two hours later I dad some chili for dinner with 15 more of the 500mg vitamin C, and water. A lot of water.

Then a couple hours later I had the last 8 of the 500 mg vitamin C...

and by now there was a distinct improvement, though the pain was not gone.

I was trusting that a second day would do the trick and was prepared to go with the same program today.

Quite late, maybe 10pm or so, I felt a huge bump on my right hand upper gum... so I put hot salt water in my mouth for about an hour... it wasn't hot for the second half hour.

That didn't make as much difference as I'd hoped.

When I laid down to go to sleep, with the lights off, I suddenly heard this sound like a drain gurgling... but not as loud as if it were a bathroom sound.
It went on for maybe a few minutes, and then when I ran my tongue over the very large bump, it wasn't as large any more.

So I was delighted, of course.

Today the toothache is gone. GONE!!!!!!

I had a similar experience with an even worse toothache in 2005. That time the toothache was so bad it made me scream a couple of times.

I don't know if you've read the studies from Bangladesh on vitamin C, but it is potent.

It is certainly not for daily use in such large amounts.

But when there is a serious problem, like a serious infection, it is a potent and life saving thing.

I have read some accounts which suggest that it would be life saving if the Avian Flu hit.

I therefore keep several bottles on hand.

Have you ever had a good experience with a large dose of vitamin C?
