Ever since I was a kid I remember getting horrible headaches from visual overstimulation.
I am 18 now and still have the same episodes almost daily. Usually when I get a bad headache the back of my eyes are literally sore to touch and move. And could this get worse due to puberty? I don't wear glasses, even though I am quite farsighted, but my eye can accommodate so that could be a part of it. The pain is all over the head though, just a consistent pain. No throbbing. |

Hi mrsmith (no relation
![]() Have you seen a doctor about this? I can think of at least a couple of things it could be. Exacerbation due to puberty (hormonal changes) is possible, but not one of the first things that would come to mind. Spend a lot of time with screens/tubes? (television, computer, etc.) If so, this would be my first guess. Computer Headache Another likely candidate might be chronic daily headache. Quote:
Are you epileptic, or is there epilepsy in your family? If so, a couple other possibilities come to mind. Ictal headache Another possibility (but far less likely) is bilateral cluster headache. If things got into that realm, we'd be talking about a headache specialist/clinic (not just a neurologist). Doc
