Default MS induce Menaopause? Anyone else have this?

Seems what I actually have is "medication induced menopause" which was brought on from all of the different meds used to treat the MS and it's nasty little symptoms. The doctor wrote on the chart and I quote: "MS induced menopause". I am only 28!

Has anyone else gone into early menopause because of this disease? I am glad they finally figured it out. i have been having hot flashes and mood swings and all the other weird stuff for over a year, it's just gotten so much worse int eh last few months.

BTW-> HI everybody! I missed you! And I am now suspected PPMS.

Hi Legz! Missed you around here.

I have heard of medicines giving menopause like symptoms. My ob/gyn and I were talking about that one day. I wasn't having any trouble with symptoms, just a change. However, upon testing, my hormones were just fine. We chalked it up to DD19 starting her period and changing my cycle. Not to go in to detail but I liked my cycle far better than hers.

Talk to your ob/gyn about getting some tests done before you decide you are now menopausal.

ha ha we did do the stupids test my hormone levels are zilch! And my ph levels are all wonky too. it's not fair I am only 28!! Can we invent a disease where your tummy shrinks, your top parts grow and you can only survive by eating mass quantities of chocolate, consuming caffine and never gain weight? I would like to trade the MS for what's behind door number 2 doc! Sorry, meds are kicking in and I am feeling silly.

Yeah but behind door number 2 may be something worse.

I do like your new "disease."

Well, dang it all! I was hoping this was not the case for you.

They want to blame the neurontin, steroids, tramadol, and avonex coctail for this one. Have to go back in today to figure out what to do next. They think it was all of the steroids that are causing the cysts, so we will see if they clear up on their own or I am looking at losing my uterus. Which is fine by me I'm not using it, in fact the testing all started when I went in to schedule getting my tubes tied.

I did make a joke last night that I was going to bring in an empty egg carton and see if he will fill it up for me. I told the doc not to freak out if I showed up with a cooler if he decided to do the surgery. I would like to take my eggs with me for stem cells. (HE thought I was joking)!

I do know how much worse my symptoms could be so I will smile and bang my head on this wall some more.
