Default Any suggestions why I'm so tired?

I've got an appointment with my doctor in the morning but I'm not sure what to ask for.
Basically I've been SO tired the last week. I'm still on the Beta and though the flu symptoms have lessened, the day after is awful. I'm exhausted, giddy, have nausea and don't feel like eating. I'd sleep all day and night given half a chance. I'm feeling so grotty. I'm bruising easily and have tight leg muscles.

Anyone think it's the Beta? How do you know if your liver isn't happy? Any other suggestions gratefully accepted.

I would ask for a blood test to check your liver if you are getting the bruising. Could very well be the Beta. I would think anything that makes you feel like you have the flu kind of drains the life right out of you.

I have been exhausted since I started Avonex. But I am fatigued with insomnia. I wakeup around 3:30 every morning and that is after a tramadol and ambien to help get me to sleep. I did find I cannot take the shot at night time, or I wake up in the middle of the night freezing/shivering and sick as can be. If I take it during the day and take tylenol every 4 hours and benedryl every 6, it doesn't do anything but make me sleepy.

I got some of the normal flu stuff with beta, but other than that, I found it to be a tolerable drug, until...they did my liver enzyme tests LFT its called. I set a clinic record. I didnt feel that bad actually, and it surprised us that it could be that high and not have many sx.

The Liver itself can take quite a hit. it can be more than 80% gone and still work enough to take care of your needs. Are the whites of your eyes yellow? is your skin tinged yellow? Those are usually pretty late signs of your liver not being able to clear all the waste out. A quick blood test would let them know. Perhaps they should throw in a blood count to be sure your red cells, and white cells are all happy too.

I hope you feel better.

It could be the Beta and/or MS fatigue.

The blood tests will show how your liver is dealing with the Beta.

I hope you find answers soon!
