Seriously a bad girl today! I did do any exercise unless putting together storage cubes constitutes exercise. LOL Oh wait, I did a 5 minute walk with my sister this morning looking at the garage sales on my parents street. Guess I'm good than. LOL

Day 4 of the Great Closet Cleaning of 2009

Eeeeek!!! I found (dead) bugs in my closet!! (thankgoodness for the brand new Oreck vacuum!) It was a bit disturbing to hear all the clicking noises the vacuum made while it was sucking up the dead bugs.

I found the expensive beach cover-up thingie that I got in Destin, Florida in 1998 (spend a horrible amount of money on it too) It's been missing since about 2002 or 2003. (we moved in here in 2002...I've never really cleaned this closet before) I'm hoping I find the really expensive swimsuit that went with it that I havent seen in years. (I had to go to Walmart to buy a swimsuit when I couldnt find the expensive one)

I made a lot of headway last night and today, but geeze, I'm tired. My dad asked me if I wanted to go treadmill at the gym, and I just looked at him with the "are you nuts" look and said that I already exercised for the week...I'm cleaning my closet out....He totally understood. He made out like a bandit too, I'm letting him have first pick at the sweatshirts and t-shirts before they go in the Goodwill donation.

I made it to my fabric boxes today. It's like an archaeological expedition. I didnt realize I had two boxes of fabric. I've gotten weaker since I last was able to reach them. I couldnt lift one of them at all. The other one, I found a ton of good fabric that my brother-in-law would like. His hobby is sewing. I have a ton of nice broadcloth and some calico...I think he'll have fun making my nieces dresses with some of that. I have like four continuous yards of black cotton broadcloth fabric, I think he can either make a nice skirt or dress for my sister, or he can get a couple of nice button up shirts out of it. I might have to ask him to make me a vest or two (if he's willing to make me something)

I think I'll go pop a couple of baclofen to head off the spasticity induced charley horses that I think I'm going to suffer thru later tonight...hopefully I wont be regretting all the work I've been doing on my closet. (regretting only because it's probably going to cause me pain later)

I'm off to slip into the bacolfen induced coma....

edited to add:

I think I did too much...my left hand is more numb right now, and it's seriously impeding my progress in my crocheted afghan I'm trying to work on....argh!! *grumble*

(((Sally))) Sorry you aren't feeling well. That is not the kind of ab workout you wanted. I hope you feel better soon.

Took a walk with DD18 last night and then did my morning walk this morning. It's nice to break the walks up like that.

Hi Puds, ewiz, sabimax, sallyc, tkrik, erin: I enjoy reading all of your posts, but have to go cook, so I can't repond to each one. Sallyc: Do you think you have H1N1, or is it only GI. Get better soon.

I swam a mile in the public pool yesterday and today as well.

No, I think HiNi is mostly a resperatory flu.

From what I've been reading, and also saw a doctor on Fox News yesterday said it too...H1N1 does have gastrointestinal symptoms. The doctor on Fox last night said that's how you can tell the difference between the H1N1 and seasonal flu. H1N1 has a higher incidence of nausea and diarrhea.

But, you'd also have a higher fever with H1N1, and a lot more body aches than with the regular flu.

I'm not getting vaccinated for H1N1, (or seasonal flu) so I'm going to ask my doctor for a Rx for Tamiflu (if I can find out it's safe for MSers) and keep some of that on hand just in case I get sick. (we actually have some Tamiflu upstairs, but I'm saving that for my parents since they're older and my dad has a heart condition and my mom has asthma)

There is some resistance in the H1N1 flu to Tamiflu; rare but has happened. Definitely check with your dr about that one. The sensitivity testing that has been done shows Zanamivir to work better.

They also recommend those with neurological disorders, neuromuscular, and naturally immune disorders get the vaccine as we are in a high risk category for complications. However, if you are sensitive to eggs or allergic to them then you can't get it done.
