I also want to check out the actual pot pharmacies to see the various MJ's and how strong each one is to make the "right" selection. |

Could you learn to grow your own?
I wonder what the laws are for keeping a small plant or two in your own home for your own medicinal use.

I think that's allowed, in Canada.

I heard this on the national news tonight. New Jersey is getting ready to pass a law allowing medical MJ.
I have no fear of smoking it or using it. It's not like I'd have enough in my possession to even cause me to get arrested. |

I know our county deputy attorney was talking about someone from CA who got pulled over in Utah with MM. They showed the officer their card (permit), but the atty wasn't quite sure how to handle it. After all, we're not one of the 14 states where its legal.
Next time I see him I'll have to ask what he decided. Bawk bawk here, too! If I was in enough pain I guess I'd think differently.

In Australia there is no such thing as medical MJ. It's illegal and that's that! No if's or maybe's!
Some-one gave DH a bag full some time back, and it wasn't a little bag either. He was in his late 40's at the time and had never even tried it, but that's not why they gave it to him. They thought it might help to ease his chronic pain, and gave it for him to try it out. Needless to say he didn't try it, and neither did I. In fact we both felt so uncomfortable having it in the house, that we put it out (wrapped up with other garbage) in our bin to be removed along with our other weekly trash. As long as the trash man didn't know it was there, then to this day it's rotting in the earth at our local garbage disposal site. I occassionally think of tossing all that MJ in the bin, and how others would just cringe with the knowledge.

I didn't care if it was legal when I was a teen and smoked it, and I sure don't care now that the MS has gone all progressive on me. My pain is real and pretty ugly. The US attorney can go to **** for all I care.
I come from a police family...Philly P.D. My dad was a Captain, my husband a lieutenant. They both know I smoked, and neither one of them liked it one bit. I haven't smoked it in a LONG time, but if someone gave it to me I most certainly would. |

Woo hoo! its Laura! so, all I had to do was mention pot and she shows up? We missed you!
btw, I gave my brownies to a couple that lives in town. I thought it was a shame to throw them away, and I knew this couple would enjoy them, either that or call the cops on me. So, I bundled them up, and off they went. I got a giggly phone call later talking about "good stuff" well...as long as someone got to enjoy them. It was a huge decision to have them in the house, and I just never got past the fact that they were in the freezer. I kept them there, because I knew they would rot on the counter before I could or would eat them. I am such a goodie two shoes sometimes. I did smoke a time or two in High School, but never got anything from it. I would see others giggling, and laughing, and stuffing their faces, and just never understood. I smoked the same stuff, at the same time, and didnt get the same effect. I tried it once more when I was doing some very heavy chemo. I was tired of the vomiting, and when I tried it, I felt like I was really paranoid. I felt like you could hear me wretching three counties away. I can be paranoid without pot. I gave the rest away then too. I think if it were legal, I may be more comfie trying it here, but since its not, and I am such a "by the book" girl. I simply couldnt do it. The circumstances were not right I guess. Maybe more pain? or spastic stuff? or nausea? or whatever, but in my current condition, I just couldnt cross the line.
