I wouldn't take it with the thyroid. And maybe the LDN....since it is low dose. (but not sure about that).
So many things influence thyroid, so take that on an empty stomach to be sure. I have no problem with the Curcugel, no heartburn, nada. But I wouldn't lie down for an hour after, just to be sure. I tend to reflux ginger extract if I lie down too soon. This may reflux too, since it is a spice. I always took mine early in the day, never at night.

You might want to print this. I was able to get a PDF of it, but the link has been deleted; might have been a temporary mistake by the publisher. Here's the stuff I can find now (sans PDF) that also might have a limited life - meaning, you might want to copy this to your computer or print it all out.
Sarker and Nahar 2007 Bioactivity of Turmeric Table of Contents Chapter 9 in HTML - might not be there very long Aggarwal et al. 2007 Curcumin - Biological and Medical Properties Table of Contents Unfortunately I can't find an HTML link for this chapter, but will keep looking. Ken

I never have any problems with it either.
I take my thyroid the same way.

Hmmmm.. I don't get upset from either.
How many do you take a day of the Curcugel? Start at one a day only if you take more than one. Take with food too. Some curcumin stays in the GI tract, and it will help with any inflammation or infections there. It has been recommended for people with Crohn's for example. The NON enhanced type would almost all remain in the bowel. The one you have, Kitty, is somewhat absorbed, but some still remains behind. Are you using the liquigels for your D? Mine are so tiny! Large liquigels, like the doctors give for D2, the 50,000 IU one have a small amount of sorbitol in the them possibly..most liquigels do. My Aleve do for example. But that amount of sorbitol is very tiny and not likely to be laxative. Large amounts of sorbitol are used as a laxative...but that would be in the double digit gram realm.

I just take 1 a day. I usually take it around noon time so I've had something to eat already.
Right now I take D3 tablets but I've ordered some gels for that, too. The tablets are just too hard to swallow.....they're like a large aspirin. I didn't drink my usual coffee this morning. Since the Curcugel seems like it would do more good than harm I'll keep taking it. I've only been on them a week. I think maybe dietary changes would probably help more...like no more coffee.

Coffee can be dynamite! I gave it up years ago.
I am a tea gal now. I use the Bigelow blue box tea, as it is hearty and more flavorful than Lipton. I like something hearty in the morning. It is called English Teatime (used to be called Breakfast Tea) and is in most stores, even Target has it. I find it sold out alot, so when I do see it at Kroger's I buy 2 boxes! LOL http://www.bigelowtea.com/Catalog/Pr...h+Teatime.aspx I do Splenda and Lactaid milk in it and have a BIG MUG each morning. (I think it is a 16 oz or more size...I can hardly lift it!) I bought it many years ago when those new Character stores opened in the malls. Near me a Warner Brothers one opened and so I got the Sylvester/tweety one. I don't think they make this type anymore--it was over 10 yrs ago!

Yeah....I think dietary changes will bring me the most relief. I'm starting by eliminating the coffee. Dairy seems to be a trigger, too. I don't drink milk but ice cream used to cause me problems. I don't eat it anymore.
I'm still going to take the Curcugel. I don't think it had much to do with my tummy problems. I'm taking one regular strength Pepcid AC each morning to try and avoid some of the problems.

I have found a way to get a very good discount on Curcu-Gel 500mg. I don't know if it is appropriate to post that here or to just share it in a PM. Ken
