Jim is a quad and hasn't walked in 7 years. The medication wouldn't help him like it would others who can still walk and transfer. Maybe someday he'll walk again, we never give up hope!

Barb I'm taking 2 tabs a day. The only side effect I notice is a slight hadach.

The reason the insurance gave the neuro for rejecting the prescription is because I walk independently with a cane and that it not a valid indicator that I have a gait problem. I have no idea what my neuro wrote in his report. So now he has to refer me to a physical therapist who has to evaluate my gait and whether or not ampyra may help. That is, if I want him to. I said -- of course! I doubt the therapists have ever heard of amprya. I think I will take some literature with me when I go for my appointment. I have already gone to pt in the past on several occasions for therapy to try to help improve my gait. STUPID INSURANCE COMPANIES!
