Stopping Paxil had an extreme effect on me when I did that a few years go. I was very sluggish and dizzy for a few days. I would turn my head and it would take a few seconds for the world to catch up. I hope you are feeling better now.

A few years ago I decided to go off Paxil. I weened myself and took 2 months to do it.
If you abruptly stop, you can suffer a really bad rebound of nasty feelings. |

It took me 5 months to wean off Zoloft after 4 years on it. The last two weeks of 25mg daily, I felt horrible. Achy, hot/cold, cramps, headache, couldn't concentrate. Same for the first week off it. Then my neuro gave me a gram of Solumedrol IV and the symptoms of withdrawl disappeared in less than two hours after experiencing them for three weeks non-stop.

Wow, Cher, that's very interesting about the SMIV curing the withdrawal symptoms. Maybe your Doc is onto something.
