I do that all the time, in addition to forgetting to turn off a stove burner, lock the door, get gas, did I put that in the file.

My worst time was not forgetting to take my pills, but taking too many at once. Last year I took 3 drugs in the AM, 2 of this, three of that, and one of something else. Since I sometimes forget to take them, and need them later in the day, I began to put a day's supply in my purse for just such emergencies. One day I shook out all those pills and popped all into my mouth, just minutes after taking my normal dose. I felt plenty sick by the time I got to work. It wasn't until the next day I figured out my error.
