Default A few prayers and good thoughts, please!

Well it seems I've been having a "mini" flare the past couple weeks, mini since we aren't supposed to have flares with spms. But there has been alot more pain, spasticity, stiffness, FATIGUE, scalp itchies, bladder issues, on and on. Anyway, remember I had a tooth break a couple months ago which the dentist fixed and would you believe a couple nights ago while eating a hoagie (the bread wasn't even hard) "clunk" something hit my paper plate. Yup, another tooth broke off at the gum line. The combination of not the greatest teeth to start with, too many steroids, gum disease and age (we won't get specific), is catching up with me.

My wonderful DIL is coming down again later this morning to drive me there which I'm grateful for, but it's going to be soooooo difficult getting ready, getting into her mini-van, getting in and out of my small transfer w/c, in and out of the dentist's chair, etc. Just thinking about it tires me out. Still haven't slept so will probably only get a couple hours worth. Have to take a nap when I get back home. I really need your support for today!!!! Thanks!!!! Oh yeah, been having twinges around my heart too, so hope the atrial fibrillation isn't getting stirred up again.

My dentist really is a miracle worker and will be able to "make a new tooth" today. He's great with cosmetic dentistry but of course it'll be mega $$$$$, worth it to me. Have to try and look good...you know how that goes with MS! Arrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I'm SO sick of this disease!!! 34 years is wayyyyyy too long!!!!

Judy

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it right now. Just concentrate on the nice nap you'll get when you get home. Hey, you might even be able to take one in the dentists chair! I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Let us know how things went today. Saying a prayer that everything goes smoothly.

Judy

I'm so sorry you are dealing with a mini-flare and feeling like complete poop right now. It is not a good place to be at. That is great your DIL is coming up to help you and drive you. Just having her for company would be a good thing as well.

The atrial fib heart flutter you mentioned, have you had it most of your life? The reason I'm asking is I had an atrial flutter/heart problem growing up and had some heart ablations done to correct it. This is something you need to tell your doctor. Have you ever worn a heart monitor for 24-48 hours?

Hang in there Judy!! Thinking of you!

34 years!!?!?

goodness!

and I'm frustrated a year and a half into it!

I am so very sorry to hear the rough time you are going thru right now!

I will definitely keep you in my thoughts! Hang in there!
If it helps any I'm currently in the same boat with you on the flare side, and the steroids are taking my teeth (in what sounds the same manner as yours) as well. This disease is a poop stick and a half!

Be strong and hang in there!

How about 46 years? I also hate this damnable disease.

Good luck at the dentists and good wishes for a speedy recovery from your flare..
