I'm 55, and have urge and stress incontinence...I can go for 7 hours without feeling the need, and sometimes I feel the need 15 minutes after I've gone...
I had a prolapsed bladder due to 4 huge babies. Had that repaired last November, but still have stress and urge incontinence. The urogynecologist said the urge is from my bladder spasming (he stuck a camera up in the bladder and we watched the walls spasm-kind of cool!). the spasms are from MS. The stress incontinence he is still concerned about...I had urodynamics this week and will see him in a couple of weeks to talk things over. I don't want any more surgery...it interferes with life too much.
I do wear pads though, and sometimes I can soak through one just because once the urge is there, and I don't respond immediately, I can't stop...it's one of the most frustrating sxs I deal with
