This week I felt somewhat better- so I rallied and over did it WAY TOO MUCH. Yes, can you say - DUH!!!
Today I woke up and laid down. When I got up felt really good only to stupidly over do it again for three hours- then hit a brick wall out of no-where. The vertigo/unbalance/nausea hit like a freight train. Have felt like crap ever since. Laid down all afternoon and feel worse. Right now I feel like I could puke. I was hoping to spend some quality time with my boys tongiht. Again that is not going to happen. Seeing the sadness and disappointment in their eyes makes me want to cry buckets. ![]() Sorry for whining. Coffeegirl |

Hi CC,
You have to learn to manage you time/hours. I get just so many real good hours when I want to get everything done, cooked, or cleaned. The list never goes away, like bills. ![]() I try to make a list and do one major project a day. That's all I can do without hitting the wall, as you said. I can lots of little stuff done, then nap, and then carry on with normal stuff the rest of the day/night. If I really overdo it, it takes a day or days to recoup. Time with the kids is very important. Try to take some time from your day and put it aside for them. You are very important, but you are very important to them. ![]()

This is a good explanation of The Spoon Theory. After you read it....let your husband and boys read it. Or, better yet, read it to them. And make them listen!

Uh Coffeegirl, What did we learn from this? Judy is right. Kids who remember a clean house often remember a mom who cleaned but didn't use her energy on them.
My kids are away at college and my house stays straightened and nice longer BUT kinda lonely and quiet.

Thank you ladies for all the support and information. Sometimes a dose of reality is what one really needs to get their act together (if one likes it or not).

Feeling really crappy is only a state of mind. Who came up with that "crap?" There is only so much control we have over our bodies to include willing ourselves to feel better in spite of our true condition.
I our home the motto is, "Just go with the flow." That is what everyone understands and actually, what I am expected to do. Many times going totally against what I "want" to do or worse, "think" I "have" to do. I too hate how the way I feel has such an impact on other people's lives, but both they and I have to learn and understand, things are just the way they are. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this situation of conflict in multiplicity (Sounds impressive at this time of the morning, doesn't it?), but you can only do what you can do. I've found too many times attempting to please other people's expectations of me only comes back to bite me in the ***** twice as bad later on. But it's still a choice I can make. Sorry, Coffee, I don't really have any good advice for you but totally understand and support you.
