Thank you, thank you. I agree - after I calmed down - that it could have "appeared" as if I was cutting her out of the deal.

But, it really wasn't about her...and if she had simply asked to go too, I would have joyfully given her a big yes. Or at least realized that she would love to go visit her family too. We will all plan to go at a later date.

I wasnt thinking all that clearly and it was all happening so fast ...so I just put the brakes on and decided these travel arrangements needed to happen at a slower pace and not so impulsively...as peoples feelings were getting hurt.

We've all made up and she understands perfectly the logic and illogic of my thinking and we are all at peace again.

So, thanks for all the input - it was all on target.
