This is a strange thread, wondering why some here have thick blood beyond that which Dr. Swank described, which he found in my blood many years ago.
The disease I have which thickens blood is called Polycythemia Vera. I have had it about 5 years. I do get phlebotomies, but too many of them cause low Ferritin (iron stores). I may have to take Interferon, a chemo which causes lots of side effects. Or just live with this condition, which may cause a stroke. I do lots of praying and hope God will take care of me no matter what comes. |
