On 7-2009 I had an MRI done and this is what it said about brain lesions: A single focus of abnormal T2 signal is demonstrated in periventricular white matter in the right frontal region. Lesion is nonspecific. The differential included gliosis, migraine, microvascular change, or demyelination. Following contrast administration, mass is not identified. No areas of abnormal enhancement are noted. Single focus of abnormal T2 signal and are right frontal white matter. The lesion is nonspecific with differential as noted above.
I then had another MRI done on 7-2010 and this one said: . There are few small T2 hyperintesities in the deep white matter regions bilaterally which appears stable. These are over the frontoparietal lobe regions bilaterally. No other abnormal signal intensity or enhanc?ement is seen and there are no extra-axial collections. 1. A few small T2 hyperintensities in the deep white matter over both frontoparietal lobes. These are of uncertain etiology but are stable.
My family doctor sent me to a neurologist after I pointed this out to him. The neurologist didn't seem to be concerned at all. My concern is that there was a single lesion on the first MRI and a few on the second. Is this something I should be concerned about?
