I've been having such trouble with my legs.
First, my left leg keeps giving out on me. It's like the muscles in it just all relax at the same time and it almost gives out on me. I can feel it happening. Not painful but a really strange sensation. Next, I'm having serious pain in my right leg. Right where my leg and hip meet. Upper thigh....lower hip?? It got me yesterday afternoon and I had to just stand there at the kitchen counter until it passed. Scared me! ![]() What's gonna happen if they both start doing their new "thing" at the same time?! ![]() ![]()

Do you have osteoporosis?
Have you had a bone density test? Pain where you describe can be bursitis in the hip. The hip bone itself, or nerve pain.

I've never had a bone density test but I don't think I have osteoporosis. I've never had any trouble with my bones or ever even broken a bone.
It's better this morning but still catches when I move certain ways. I always assume it's the MS but it could be something totally unrelated.

Kelly, I have osteopenia in my hips, and it feels at times exactly how you are describing it. You may want to get a bone density test. If you can not afford the fill scan, they can do one f your heels which gives them an indication of whether or not you may have osteoporosis and need a full scan.

Here is a link to a leg/hip pain medical site.
There are bursae in the hip and the drawings show that. http://www.aafp.org/afp/20000401/2109.html Figure 1 shows them. You can get a "strain" in your hip easily, esp as you age. Try an ice pack on it, to see if that helps. Ice will take down an inflammation. But that part of the body is complicated, bone, ligament and nerves all can cause pain there.

I hate to say this, but since I've been using my scooter all the time, I've noticed less pain in my hips and legs.
I do lots of stretching and stand in place exercises to keep my bones and muscles strong, but no real walking. My walking was so iratic and messed up that it was throwing everything out of whack so, I had a lot of pain, in muscles and joints/bones. My scooter is a perfect fit for me and supports the small of my back and I exercise and stretch the small of my back, so I have, almost, eliminated those muscle pains/spasms. Maybe if you use your scooter/walker/chair more often and not push yourself to walk when your fatigue is high, you may save yourself some pain and fatigue. ![]()
