I'm just new..but I'm sure this question has been asked a zillion times. Do many people wake up most nights due to pains in the back, hips, legs, or arms. Right side worse than left side. What is it about lying down that makes pains worse?Sometimes it's more back than legs.
Also, lately my back is usually aching even in the days. It becomes very tiring to always have back pain, often right in the upper middle back along the spine area to the right. |

Everyone is so different but for me (24/7 in a chair - not horrible pain but can't turn easily and tends to sleep in one position and parts can start hurting).
1. have purchased sheepskin for wheelchair seat and love it. 2. Have satin fitted sheet on bed so can slid easier, turn easier, etc. Was sticking from weight of glutinous maximus (and I'm not really heavy) in cotton panties sticking to cotton sheets like velcro. Turn easier. 3. have purchased for bed a 2-inch memory foam topper for firm mattress we have. Great! Relieves pressure points but is still firm 2 inches down. DH (No MS) who has back problems in past loves it. It has been wonderful in colder weather, but have read people complaining can be too warm in Spring and summer. We'll see.

I frequently wake up feeling like my hip is out of its socket. its horrible! I have to stretch and roll and calm that muscle down before I can go back to sleep.

I'm most comfortable sleeping on my side, but I get more pain in my back and legs upon awakening in those places when I sleep on my side. However, when I sleep on my back, my left hip feels like it's not in it's socket properly for several hours after awakening and my lower back hurts more. My legs feel better when I sleep on my back with my legs stretched out. Feel like I can't win either way so, I understand, I guess. I have to change positions pretty often while sleeping. Oh and welcome to NeuroTalk!!!
