i know what it's like to be in 24/7 pain. and i've come close to feeling like you do.

i walked into my local rehab hosp one day and asked if they had any pain drs. they said yes so i got a referral from my neuro. he was so nice. he believed me too. he rx'd some different meds until one worked better than the others.
it is a narcotic but i don't abuse it so it works when i need it to.

i also did some different PT things.

don't give up. i know how pain saps your energy and then you have trouble sleeping which doesn't help. keep demanding help from your neuro and/or pcp.
treating pain is a standard of care. they have to respond.

i'm so rooting for you. keep in touch with us.

I don't know what it's like to have nerve pain like you are experiencing, but I'm praying for you and hoping you feel better soon.

So sorry you're suffering so...I have leg pain that sometimes drives me to think it's time to take a trip down the stairs...literally. But I know I'd be the one who lives through it and would end up paralyzed...

I do find that cannabis helps reduce the pain levels, but I hate using it. So I only use it when it's intolerable.

Try to get some relief, be it narcotics or cannabis...but don't put up with it, whatever you do. It will take you down emotionally, and it's bad enough to be taken down by the pain physically...

Keep us up to date...

Completely agree. I literally walked into my doctor's office and said, "No human being should have to live in this amount of pain". That made her eyes pop out of her head, and it was then that she realized the impact it was having on my life/well being.

Pain's tough to explain for sure, and for a doctor to understand a lot of the time, or the scale of it.
