Very possibly for you after this length of time a firm diagnosis is a good thing. The fact that you have to even deal with the diagnosis process for so long and then finally get a diagnosis seems like a cruel irony.
My wish is this brings some comfort and peace of mind to you and assist you in living a better life, "knowing." Like many others, after such a long period of time of doctors, tests, second opinions, new meds, yet still having all of the symptoms and being thought of with serious doubt, the name matters not because you still feel the same. What's that saying about a rose by any other name is still a rose. So goes the diagnostic journey so long when the confirmation does come, I asked myself does it really matter? I'm sorry you had to deal with the medical community for this long on top of all the symptoms, but now you know and can really start a new life. Having survived this long with such a positive attitude, for that I say congratulations as you are a strong example to so many others.

Congrats and Sorry all at the same time.
Just think how much easier it will be filling out all those medical forms at doc offices! You can now just put down "M.S.". ha ha Secret handshake to be taught by Sally, T-shirt coming in the mail...
