Sally, aren't you and I about the same age? I'm 72 and live alone and am concerned.

I do know that I won't be "put" anywhere. If I end up in a "home" against my will, I'll get out of there as fast as I can.

The problem is that if a person is sick enough, other people start making the decisions. But it's easier to cross that bridge when I get to it.

With every fall I've had to spend a long time getting back to feeling halfway decent. Maybe that's what's going on with you--maybe you're still climbing back out of the problems created by your recent fall.

It takes me a very long time to get over something stressful like a fall or an infection. Time and rest are our friends, I think.
