Default Now I'm going to get IV steroids

Went to the neurologist this morning. He took a couple looks at me and said yeah you need steroids. So he and my regular doctor got together and I'm getting I VSM Tomorrow.

I'm getting four days worth. That's more than they've ever given me for optic neuritis. So this must be the flare from hell. (Pretty much all my flares are "Flares from hell')

It better help. I just don't want to be stuck with my hands like this .

really hope that This won't be permanent. If it does turn out to be permanent my Dad will have A lot more room in the basement because I'll be getting rid of all my yarn. Maybe I'll sell my car to my dad and then he can sell my car and his car and get a new car. (And when I say sell my car to my dad, that doesn't necessarily mean that any money is going to be coming my way. I probably just let him take it even though my names on title)

I'm wondering why I'm hungry but not hungry. I'm starving but the thought of food is just not appealing to me. I don't get it, I had some toast today that's it. I'm hungry I just don't feel like eating

I'm hungry right now finally decided on something to eat. I wanted ice cream my throat hurts. My dad got down to the place to get the ice cream and they were closed. They were working on the building.

I love food from my favorite Greek restaurant but they're closed too. They're finally doing some very much needed updates to their building (Handicapped restrooms)

I'm also scared to eat anything. you might see another thread in the forum that relates to that fear.

At least I'll probably lose weight. Probably not the right way to lose weight but I'm probably going to lose weight.

Hey Erin,

If you are going to have steroids the IV seems to me to be the way to go. I hope they help you.

Yes, I understand being hungry and not wanting anything. Too tired to eat today.

I just managed to eat a bowl of potato soup and bread baguette from Panera. My dad put the soup in a plastic mug with a handle and I drank it from there. And the baguette was just the right size that I could actually keep my fingers around it to eat that.

Probably the most food I've eaten in one sitting for the past couple of days. I'm hoping it doesn't make me sick. I just feel like total garbage. At least when I had the optic neuritis flare, I was hungry then. This time around I feel like the flares is hitting the entire body.

Like I've got the flu and it won't go away.

I really hope the steroids work. I'm really getting tired of this.

Did you get tested for a UTI before the steroids?

Yes. They didn't call in a Rx for abx's so I'm assuming there was no uti

Almost done with the first bag of ivsm. Tired as heck. Annoyed at the girl who s watch The View. (hate that show). She made them turn the volume up on the tv.

Hope she's not here tomorrow.
