I switch my letters. Like if I am going to write the word 'the', it would be hte. But like you I do it a lot. And I used to have a general spell check on my computer and now I do't have one or at least I don't know that I do. There are some words that I avoid using because I can't think of the spelling anymore where if I had spell check i would. Like the word 'unfortunately' I normally can't get. But I think this time I did!!!!!! Yeah. I think I need some ice cream to celebrate.

Hi there

I teach typing and word processing - and yes, I find I have to correct things more and more (transposition of letters etc).

Doydie, as far as spell check goes, if you can't find it on a microsoft machine, try pressing F7 when you have finished typing a document (wich activates the spelling and grammar checker - but only works in Microsoft programs).

Like you, I used to be a great speller, have excellent grammar and was a gun typist. Now, I too have to proofread everything I do. At least I can still recognise when I have screwed up - I just have to make sure I catch it before I put it out to the whole world.

Cheers

Lyn

Whew . . . I thought it was just me! I know I can still carry on a decent conversation online, and I actually belong to a debate forum to keep my skills sharp . . . but this thought/typing processing thing was really getting to me. Like everything else, I guess I have to slow down and pace myself.
