Hiya Sally! I'm here! Oh wait...gotta go!

J/K

Back on the bike last weekend for the first time since July. I have been spinning at the gym several times a week, but hadn't done any outdoor riding. Did 26 miles in about an hour and a half. Going for 37 miles this saturday...supposed to be sunny and 65 that day. Hope it starts warming up for you soon up there!

I am sure you already know: PROBIOTICS in the form of goat yogurt (plain) or in capsule form will help keep that gut healthy. (none of that stuff that is flavored and highly corn syruped)

TUMERIC. Can't say enough of this one - esp for the inflammation.

Oil of Oregano (tastes awful but works. Take a mouth of water, put 4-5 drops of oil, take another swig of water and swallow).

GARLIC.

Selenium. Sulfur rich foods. Anti-viral diet: NO grains, No corn, No sugar, No soy.

Apple cider vinegar. Organic as much as possible. Essential EFA's.

Sally and TXBatman- I just got back from PT. I walked there and back- not a good gait, but I made it. I did all my exercises including 12 minutes on a bike at interval training 4. I turn everything up a tad each visit. Burned 39 calories.

It's 23 degrees F. The high for tomorrow is 17!

And we lost the Superbowl. Jah. We played the (other team) and they won fair and square so we don't get to go to the big game. The region is in mourning. Boo-hoo.

Help yourself to the chocolate- I seem to have extra.

Stopping in to say Hi is enough MissyJ..

TX, nice to see you and happy to see you are still pushing the peddle to the floor. Wish I could do that. What happened in July that kept you from Biking?

Happyasme, nice to have you check in too.

Hi Ann, thanks for checking to my dumb thread. I'm so happy you were able to walk to your spa and back home again without falling or getting in trouble.

My team, the Bengals, lost too.

Hi Sally - Not much new here. Tomorrow is supposed to be REALLY COLD in MA. Think I'll hibernate with the dog and let DH do the errands. DD's called today to talk about their upcoming trips. My "trips" are to the doctor and back lol!

Wanted to check in, and chocolate does sound like a good idea.

How's kitty cat?

Hi Sally,

Haven't posted much in the last few days because we're taking care of our beloved kitty daughter. She's dying of renal failure, and we're trying to make her last days as comfortable as possible. We're also heartbroken.

I'm so exhausted; I've been having a relapse since the holidays, and dealing with this has floored me, so I'm not the best company right now! I just don't have the strength to cope with things anymore, and that makes me mad at myself as well...

I miss cold weather! We haven't had a winter at all this year in Key West; it was in the 80s all last week and the 70s this week. We had two cool days in the 60s, and that's it. I know that this is ideal for most people, but I miss the cold.

We came here from a 10,000 foot mountaintop in Colorado, where we had 500 inches of snow every winter--yup, 35 feet! I loved it. So I love reading about your cold temperatures...

Key West is beautiful, but I miss seasons and mountains!

Hope you're feeling well, Sally, and that your capsules are working well for you. I've blown my diet so badly this week, I don't even know if I'll weigh myself for the weigh-in on Friday!

Our grief and worry over our beautiful Tabitha has caused such an emotional roller coaster for us. She's a 13 1/2 year old Manx, and was abused by her former owners (she was living under a house). We got her from a shelter four-and-a-half years ago and she's been our daughter.

As I said, we're heartbroken.

Hi All. I haven't been feeling well for past few weeks- all of my symptoms seem to be back in full force. Went to my pcp last week & she prescribed ambian so that maybe I could get some sleep but am still only getting 2 hour chunks but added feeling crazy to my long list of complaints, lol. I have not posted anything for awhile cause I have not been in a very positive space but I come often to read what's up with everyone. What a blessing this site has been for me! Hope everyone is well & you can pass any extra chocolate this way!!

Things are going pretty well for me. My pain level has been a little high because I’ve been going to Physical Therapy for the last few weeks. It is the “good” kind of pain, though, that comes with increasing my strength and stamina.

Yesterday was kind of “interesting.” At PT they took my Blood Pressure before they started my exercises. It was so high that they had me lie down with a BP monitor for the whole PT session.

My BP is almost always high when I am away from home. I monitored it after I got home yesterday. The only high reading was taken within an hour of getting home. After that, it was nice and low, and it is still low this morning. Go figure.

I think that one of the problems with my BP has to do with the fact that I am most comfortable and at ease at home, and definitely not very at ease anywhere else. Even though the folks at PT are medically trained, I don’t think they can conceive of the dwindling zone of comfort that people with MS experience. They underestimate how overwhelming the outside world can be for us. I’ve never had an anxiety attack in my life, but I certainly am more anxious when I am out and about.

Other than that, things in my life are going fine.

Keely Bless you for giving your kitty a loving home. She knows and appreciates it. Prayers for you as losing a precious pet is losing a member of your family. Please take care and know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.
