Yes, I'm feeling kind of grumpy today and have been for quite some time. This miserable, stinky, vile disease, is really the pits. I'm so sick of feeling miserable all of the time. It seems there are no "good" days anymore, just what degree of horrible is it going to be today?

Of all things, I've developed a pressure sore on the bottom of my foot from my stupid powerchair's footrest. All the bells and whistles, and the footrest is way too small and the feet are too close together. I've been receiving specialized care from a lymphedema specialist......never knew there was such a person....since when my feet/legs first started swelling all my pc doctor said was "we could hang you upside down". Very funny.....not!

The sore was around the size of a quarter and what pain!!! Sort of the same kind of pain as a paper cut, only worse. Thankfully it's almost closed now, but the pain is still there, even with my legs and feet wrapped in special bandages, foam, etc. Look like the Michelin Man (sp?) It is bringing the swelling down though.

But then, here I sit with a stupid catheter in all the time, never go anywhere and see my family rarely. Today my grandson is getting married, and here I am. Hopefully I'll at least get some pictures. Still able to transfer to the toilet, but sleep in my powerchair so always have a sore body and tingley arms from leaning against the hard back.

Do have an aide who comes in five days a week for an hour, to help me wash up, dress, etc. If there's still time, she does some household type chores. I'm really thankful for her, and we get along so well. She's someone I feel comfortable with which was always a sticking point for me before because of my background. Just tired of hurting all the time while living such a waste of a life.

Thanks for letting me vent..........again. I'm ready for the finding of a drug to reverse all the bad things this monster has done to my body. It would be a wonderful miracle to have my old life back. Take care everyone

I cannot imagine going thru what you have.

The pressure sore sounds painful and that it will take some time to heal.

Can you spend any time with your legs/feet above your heart?
Ask your doctor about sequential foot compression.

I send you hugs and congrats for your grandson. You are stronger than you think and hopefully this funk will pass soon.. Hopefully venting has helped a bit

I'm all alone and feeling blue. No doggy, no kittycat,
afraid of living and more afraid of dieing. Then you
post about what pain and discomfort is all about.

I'll just crawl back in my hole now and pray for you.
I am here for you & other loved ones and when I
ask myself why I'm still here, that's my answer.
