I dropped the Benadryl last night and no itchies!! yea! I did develop the heart burn tho so I am taking something for that. Everynight I open my pill box and anymore I feel like a drug addict with all the pills in it.
The Tecfidera pill is sticky when wet. Wet your finger and put it on the pill and you will see what I mean! Pills like this have to be taken with lots of liquid and be sure to put you head down instead of way back when you swallow. When you put your head back you decrease the width of your esophagus.

If you start itching again, give it an hour before you medicate. It may go away on its own. I still get nauseated from time to time but it only lasts about fifteen mins and I would rather wait it out than take another pill!

The fact that you have eliminated the Benadryl is a good sign. Keep doing what you are doing. If this drug works for you, a few weeks of hell will be worth it.

PS: I take a lot of pills, too. But I don't make a good drug addict. I would toss them all out the window if I could!

To take pills like that, or any pill if you find it hard to swallow them, if you take a bit of food into the mouth, chew it up and just before you ready to swallow, slip the pill in and then swallow, it usually goes down without a hitch.
Wadding up a small piece of bread or cheese and putting it in that is another way.

With love, Erika
