Just looked up frozen shoulder and ms together. Did you know frozen shoulder has an autoimmune component to it? And can last up to three years? The ms could have done this to me.

I don't think I can handle this for three years. Shoulder is killing me right now.

Gonna go try to sleep. Or cry from the pain.

Erin - There have been a few people on here who posted about their frozen shoulder. Most of them healed and have done well. I think one eventually had to have surgery. I can't remember. I hope you start feeling better soon. How is your mom doing? Is she starting to feel better? I continue to keep her in my prayers. That was pretty scare and serious stuff she had going on.

Wiz - I hope you can stay local BUT if it's better for your health and all, maybe going to the big city is worth it. And, I'm sure the woman appreciated all that you did for her and the hug. You are so kind to not only your customers but many others as well, including me. Hang in there and do keep us posted on how you are doing. You have been going through a lot lately and I keep you in my prayers every day.

My daily whine and cheese . . . Other than a numb foot and my normal MS stuff, my MS is doing fine today. I can't whine about any of it.

potty question here, sorry if it's TMI, but if I haven't done #2 since tuesday (the 26th), should I be really worried??

I haven't eaten much the past couple of weeks because of the pain in my shoulder.

If you're not eating much, you are not going to go much. Input vs output. Also, you've been taking pain meds which can be constipating and that's probably contributing as well. A lot of pain meds are notorious for constipating people. The stress that you have been under with your mom being so ill, the holidays, your shoulder and pain meds all can contribute to an MS flare and/or the constipation you are experiencing. Try taking a stool softener or laxative or eat something with a lot of fiber in it (a bowl of oatmeal, lentils, etc. or a prune or two) and see if that helps. Keep track of what you are eating and how much as that could be a clue. If you are eating normally as you always have and your BMs were regular and all of a sudden you stop going, that issue needs to be addressed with your doctor.

Keep in mind we are MSers and constipation is pretty common for us. Keeping our bowels running smoothly can be tricky as is nerve related.

I tried taking something for it. It didn't do much. I feel like I have to go, it's just not happening when I try. I can hear gurgles in my stomach, so I'm pretty sure that my stomach is working. I've even been hungry. Just not eating much because of the pain in my arm, and then the worry about the potty issue.

wish that I didn't feel so bad lately. It's starting to depress me a lot. I miss the times when I didn't have all these problems.

I miss sleeping in my bed. I've been sleeping in a recliner. Starting to wonder if sleeping in the recliner is contributing to the potty issues. I don't move around much in that chair. Staying still for so long while I'm sleeping.

I am so tired...all I want to do is sleep. I keep dropping off every few minutes it seems. It's taken me awhile to write this post, because I keep dropping off to sleep in the middle of it.

Erin, you sound so incredibly depressed. It seems that for years you have been struggling with both physical and psychological obstacles. I know I and many others have suggested counseling/therapy/support for you on this and other boards and hopefully someday you will be able/willing to act on some of the suggestions that will improve your quality of life.

note that this comes from a place of truly pure and good intentions.
Wishing good things for you Erin.

I feel more frustrated than depressed. I just want a break from the constant stuff that keeps coming up. I'd like the constant health issues to calm down a bit. The past month or so has just been a bit physically painful, and that gets to a person after awhile.

I don't know what I'm doing that I keep having all the weird health issues cropping up.

Erin, sending you all the healing strength, I can muster up. I just remember the Bible verse that says 'this to shall pass.'

my mom seems to be ok. My dad has to take her for a follow up in a couple of days

I told my dad about the potty issue, and he started tossing all sorts of medications at me, and telling me which ones he gives to my mother. I took one. So hopefully having a nurse for a dad will be coming in handy soon.

Just hoping the weird tight feeling that I'm feeling in my stomach is just normal MS spasticity and not something horrible related to the potty issues.
