I've noticed that when I'm doing something that requires the use of one specific hand (like putting toothpaste on the toothbrush or spooning something into a container) I have a very noticeable tremor.
Especially if I am trying to hold my hand steady and not spill something (like a spoonful of hot soup) my hand shakes uncontrollably. I looked up "intention tremors" and got some good info. Here is the link I found: http://www.ask.com/wiki/Intention_tr...=2800&qsrc=999 I wonder if this just gets progressively worse or if it can improve over time. I noticed my hand was shaking when I was trying to eat last night. I tend to make a mess now and it looks like a two year old was sitting at my place at the dinner table. ![]()

Mine comes and goes in cycles Kitty.
It can be there in varying degrees for a while and then like now, there are periods of time (sometimes weeks) that it is not there at all. Mine seems to come on when I am sleep deprived and that is usually due to severe night spasms...so I'm not sure if the tremors are related to increased spasticity or the sleep deprivation. My vision is usually lousy when I have the tremors too. How is your sleep these days? The tremors might be due to being over tired. I sure hope that it comes around for whatever reason it is there. It is such an annoying Sx; especially when trying to do things like eat, trying to type or write by hand. With love, Erika |

Writing by hand has been the hardest thing to do for me. I just don't anymore because it looks like a first grader trying to write cursive. ![]() I notice it, too, when I'm typing on the computer. I hit letters several times and have to correct a lot. But it's still easier than trying to write manually. I'm not complaining, though. I can still get up, get on the computer and listen to music while I'm here. Each thing I find harder to do just makes me appreciate even more the things I can still do. ![]()

I have that same issue with hand writing and typing too Kitty. Even moving the cursor/mouse to get it to land where I want is a challenge some times.
I always have a word document minimized on the computer and tend to type things there and then copy and paste them into emails and posts when my coordination is shot. That way spell checker catches most of the errors in typing, spelling and punctuation; and its easier to correct them without having to delete and re-type. When I don't do that, I almost always have to go back and edit. With love, Erika |

Hi Kitty,
I have had a very fine hand tremor for many years that, typically, I really don't notice. I have also had the problem of wearing some of my food. In general I find it annoying when at home and quite embarrassing when eating out. One time while having dinner at home and food spilled onto my shirt I looked at my husband and said, I don't understand why I always doe this." He looked at me, told me to pick up my fork (without food on it). Then he pointed out the slight movement of the fork and said can you see? Your hand shakes. Oh good grief! I had simply never noticed or put two and two together. My husband notices more than I realize ![]() My writing ability due to tremors is off and on. Sometimes my writing is fine and other times it looks like a child wrote it. I also have hand tremors that are quite noticeable and I need to hold items such as a glass with both hands or I will spill.

Look at the seller, too. Seems to be selling all sorts of living
adjustment tools. I bought that jar opener on Ebay that we discussed this summer when I sprained my hand on a jar on vacation. It was on sale too... free shipping. All of 4 bucks and it works really well!
